The underlying problem is millions of starving people caused by a very basic flaw in socialism; socialists do not understand why their policies always fail eventually.
That you cannot create a successful economy from issuing orders and forcing them through via bureaucracy. You will note that the police look both well fed and thus relatively wealthy; plenty of good quality equipment.
A wealthy nation stems from millions of citizens doing their thing, where they are free to make decisions. In that case, if anyone makes a bad decision, everyone else is free to decide that their neighbour has made a bad decision and thus to try their own way forward. That is the nature of true competition; one individual tries out an idea, another decides that it worked, or not; and from those simple decisions stem a way forward for everyone surrounding them.
Once someone tries to decide that the way forward is via a single viewpoint; only one way is the right direction; and then they impose their decision; the result is what we can see with the video, very sad. Socialism seems to always want to impose decisions; much the same as feudalism, the only people that are permitted to prosper are those defending that single decision as we see so clearly above.
Many years ago, Edward Brech told me something very important to recognise; everyone has a price. If you pay the price, you can turn a small number of citizens against the majority. Moreover, that minority will ignore the desperate difficulties of the majority; if you pay them enough. Which is what we see there.
Socialism breeds a feudal bureaucracy more intent upon their own needs, than the needs of the majority. That is the underlying problem with socialism.
