These networks should be created at major technology colleges across the country. Entrepreneurial activity is taking place already at a number but expansion into networks may bring faster and greater progress.

    Looks pretty cool.

    I think you're right.

I've been involved as a mentor/investor with the StartUp Weekends here in NZ for a bit.

Great weekend. But I reckon requires a bit of Lean StartUp pre-training to get the most from it.

And I've been building a hybrid of Stanford's Hacking 4 Defense program(now spreading to 15+ universities in 2017) mixed with StartUp Weekend.

    Have a look at MIT:

    MITx free online entrepreneurship MOOCs

Leading to a very well regarded and selective MIT Global Bootcamp(next one #5 in upcoming March, hoping to attend).

I think making entrepreneurial activity more egalitarian and shaping lots of rough ideas and raw talent thru a focusing lens should be done as a partnership between local university, high schools, and civic community/government.

I liked Scott Adam's focus on start-ups that aim to make a difference to the world. Building the next unicorn and "disrupting" yet another industry is fine, but what better way than creating new products and services that leave a real impact for the society.
