He seems to understand something of why the D's lost and lost so decisively, but the partisan blindness is just too much.

I think that this should give us a lot of empathy for the kids in Syria and other wartorn countries who want to get away from crazy and to come here. Like, just the fact that someone who said mean things was able to become president traumatized a whole generation of children. No building got blown up next to them. They didn't see their dad get torn apart in a car bomb. Just one mean person saying mean things, being put in a position of power, traumatized half of a generation of kids.
Does he not understand who turned Syria into a wartorn country? Is he not aware that the whole generation children whose homes were blown up and dad's torn apart were traumatized by President Obama's campaign of bombing and support for al qaeda fighters in Syria?

And he's comparing a president saying "mean things" as being more culpable for traumatizing children than one who drops bombs on them while they sleep? How does anyone take this guy seriously? This is the Democrats first string post HRC? It's a good thing Mr. Jones' shoulders are so broad. That chip must weigh a ton.

So the dictator Assad is not the problem. His security forces killing activists is not the problem. His troops opening fire on protestors is not the problem. Assad's bombing of his own people in Aleppo is not the problem. The Russians are not the problem. Our president is the problem and Syrians, according to your incoming president are the problem.

I read your last post before EJ had the good sense to kill that thread, I should f*offanddie. You're quite the intellectual.

Syria has political, environmental, social and existential issues. A much deeper discussion would be useful but I doubt that will happen while you're able to locate your keyboard.

jk, the interesting remarks were about Paul Ryan wanting to privatize Social Security. This is classic Republican/Koch rhetoric. Either Trump will let the Koch / racist right wing drive policy or he won't. So far it doesn't look good.

I still don't see why they are so gung ho to abolish medicare and social security. They are very well-liked programs. Even if they are successful in turning Medicare into a shitty coupon, the result will just be bankrupt and homeless old people who are angry at them for ruining their lives. Is it really worth that 2% of payroll?

it's the thought that counts. besides, with a consolidated budget it makes room for more tax cuts.

Because that's where the money is. These aren't politicians, they're bank robbers.

well what do you know, you actually said something i almost agree with santa

but, let me fix this for you, since you've got it somewhat backwards:

they arent 'bank robbers', they are ROBBER BANKS.

and ALL OF THEM - just like you and your obozo+hillbilly show crony capitalist buddies -

along with their enablers within the lamerstream media (now PROVEN+documented FRAUDS)
                          are all 'WITH HER'

the exchange of mutual abuse in this thread is juvenile and degrades us all. can we leave the election behind us?

we will live with its consequences, and those are likely worthy of discussion if and only if we can discuss them dispassionately.
