Re: Wot is wrong with her????
Not minimizing this in any way. I don't know if HRC's health is an issue but I think it's legitimate to ask. Just like it's legitimate to ask "why not, what's there you don't want to show" questions of Trump's unwillingness to release his tax records, the same is legitimate of HRC's unwillingness to open her her health records. I suspect Trump won't open up on his taxes because he knows there's stuff in there that looks bad. Is it reasonable to think HRC has similar motivations in keeping her health records locked down too?
I don't know if she is afflicted by disease or merely old age and I don't believe either is sufficient to disqualify her outright - there are far more compelling arguments supporting her disqualification. But it's a legitimate question and this idea of the Clintons that we're all fools or rabid right wingers for asking should make everyone more interested in what, if anything, she is hiding. It's interesting to me that she hasn't made more of the tax thing as a counter to the health stories, if only to change the subject. Presumably each of them have the goods on the other and neither will pull the trigger for fear of what the other has. Mexican standoff, maybe?
When I saw that headline, I immediately thought "the AMA? Not a chance." And as it turns out, these doctors are representative of an old, Procrustean conservative organization established in the face of one of the first attempts to create a single-payer medical system back in the 1940s. And they've gone after HRC before, so it's hard to take this story very far. I like the symmetry even though I hate that it fits so comfortably into the HRC vast right wing health conspiracy narrative, but so it goes. The best propaganda is the kind you already believe, right?
Elections have never exactly been moments where we celebrate the truth, but do you remember any in your lifetime so over the top? It truly is information war, with an emphasis on war.
