New Peak Expensive Oil Thread

How would people feel about starting a new Peak Expensive Oil thread? The current one is broken for me, maybe broken for other people as well. I can't see the last page in linear mode. In threaded and hybrid modes I don't see any posts after 05/21/2016.

I can't see the last page of the 'Oil and Gas Data and Trends,' 'Crisis in Europe' or 'Help VirZOOM' threads either, but the Peak Expensive Oil thread is very important, and missing GRG55's posts is driving me crazy.

addendum: the 'Oil and Gas Data and Trends' thread is very important to me, also. I hate to be disruptive about this. Just thought I'd ask...

The reason the old thread is not displaying correctly is because of some stray HTML "body" tags that confuse browsers on how to render the markup. As far as I can tell, the stray tags are from some article excerpts pasted by GRG55.

It shouldn't be too difficult for an administrator to edit those postings to remove the extraneous tags.

please pm fred and ej about this. i have, twice, without any apparent action. perhaps if they received more complaints they would take this issue more seriously. ALSO, anyone else having these problems? if so, please pm fred and ej. perhaps a greater number of complaints would get their attention.

When enough posts are made to create a new page, I can suddenly see the one previously hidden from me, now that it's become next-to last.

The BODY elements have bad STYLE attributes. Example:

style="position: absolute; top: 816.8px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow: hidden; left: -1000px;"

Here's a fix for chrome users. This applies a small bit of CSS to every page under www.itulip.com/forums.

1. Install the Stylish extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...oegfcffe?hl=en Note the "S" icon on the page. After install, you should see a similar S icon to the right of your chrome URL box.
2. Go to a problem page. Click on the new S icon and select "Find more styles for this site". Click on "itulip blank page fix", then "Install with Stylish".
3. Reload the page?

(It does not have to be applied to each problem page.)

Edit: This page has links to similar extensions for Firefox, Safari & Opera that can load the same "style" from userstyles.org.

You know this technical stuff; I have no credentials about web software, but I think you might have identified A problem but not THE problem.
The Virzoom thread doesn't have a GRG55 inset quote, as I recall. Of course, I can't see it now to check.
My observation is that once I post, I can'tt see the next page.
This thread will stand as a test.
But of course, if I'm right I won't be able to say so, because I'll be locked out of the next page in this thread.
