  • War or Reset?

    As i see it, there are two pathways:-

    1. War:-
    When all else fails they take you to war, we had bush fires but seeing how they shipping more & more forces to eastern Europe to theaten Russia. I also note that it has now become clear that the West wish to help the PPK build Kurdistan, something Turkey/syria/Iraq & Iran very much do NOT want. Indeed Turkey resent reactions are much more easy to understand when viewed though this light. The French (bless them) are bombing in PPK surport to help this along.

    I wonder if "They" will mix up more trouble & attempt a wider war in the area?

    2. Reset:-
    Seeing how crap at war the West is, how bloody unless they are at anything for that matter things might go Nuclear.........US is clearly trying to distance themselfs from this in some ways. A "Resent" might be a better way to go. Allow Gold to float, currancy to crash, bring in inflation & try to get wage inflation going.

    Sadly they as crap at running this as they are at War, they never get inflation till the very lasy minate, then a tidel wave!

    either way the Neo-Libs have driven the Ship of State on to the Rocks!

    Re: War or Reset?

    Trouble with the Reset option is most of the "wealth" of the West is based on Fince-engineering or FRAUD as it used to be called. When the UK House price bubble burst the negative wealth effect will be like something out of Star Trek!

    No British PM wants this to happen on their watch & i can tell you my former Boss is no exception..........

      World War is the only option. Starting with a regional far east conflict against China and thinking Russia unable to help because of the encircling NATO bases. What is the ultimate goal? Any conspiracy theories?

        The book by Strauss and Howe, The Fourth Turning, is one I find fascinating.
        Although I ultimately reject it's conclusions (too deterministic, I believe we have far greater free will), it has some great insights.
        One such insight is that a generation totally removed from any personal experience with war takes it too lightly.
        That kind of mindset allows war because it lacks a visceral fear of the enormous horrors.

        This video is great data visualization regardless of topic.
        The topic is timely here.

          If there's one thing I think the vast majority here is in agreement with, Mike, it's that statement.

          THEY hold their public meetings where
          Our most renowned patriots stand,
          One among the birds of the air,
          A stumpier on either hand;
          And all the popular statesmen say
          That purity built up the State
          And after kept it from decay;
          And let all base ambition be,
          For intellect would make us proud
          And pride bring in impurity:
          The three old rascals laugh aloud.

            The sad thing is that someday a president of a country with nuclear capabilities would decide a line had been crossed or he simply would lose his mind and drop the bomb. Or the masterminds behind him will order him to push the red button. And of course terrorists would be used. They think that they can survive, their bunkers are ready, they are detached.
