    Mike,

I have to say your post above is a brilliant find; puts the whole debate into sharp focus.

Except for one aspect. We must find a way forward that drives the debate without any implication of the need for violence; the coming revolution must be peaceful.

"They" need to be threat-end............"we have no idea who will be in charge after its over, but we know it won't be you"

      "They" need to understand that.....

There is no peaceful revolution. As Mao said the revolution is not an afternoon walk.
The great George Sorell describes the revolution and gives instructions that it must be followed by symbolic acts of violence. Again France will lead the way.

          Mega,

Thanks, I've really enjoyed discovering Mark Blyth (the Scottish professor in the video inside the first video). I've watched a few more youtube videos of him and may read one of his books.

Do read Austerity: The History of a Dangerous Idea if you get the chance. Mark is an extremely--I mean encyclopedically--sharp and a very good guy. One of our New England adopted treasures. If you're ever in the area, it's worth checking for one of his talks or even sitting through a lecture just for fun.

It just so happens we're spending two weeks in NH and VT starting tomorrow. But I can't find any speaking engagements, though.
