You know it hearkens back to Bush the Elder's performance at Gerald Ford’s funeral on October 22, 2008 where he briefly flashed an unnerving smile and a visible, shoulder shuddering chuckle at the phrase “After a deluded gunman assassinated President Kennedy...”

Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Sheesh. Some people can't wait to slam their favorite targets for *anything*. Expectation bias.
I agree with the Atlantic, leave the guy alone.

I'm sorry for using the R-word, George. That was mean and hurtful and I was wrong to do it. Even if me and two-thirds of the rest of the human race is mad at the mess you made of the world, it does not excuse that sort of behavior. Just because millions of people have suffered and died because of your decisions, with thousands still suffering and dying at this very moment, well that doesn't give me the right to use bad words, especially towards someone so special like you. So please forgive me.
And please don't ask your covert ops friends to kidnap, torture and murder me and my loved ones. Two wrongs don't make a right.

I know you love your "they're all the same" meme but while Obama was at a funeral, it was a celebration of a man's life who overcame unbelievable odds, led his country out of apartheid and lived to be 95. Bush was attending the funeral for five men in the middle of their lives who were gunned down by a manic and left families without fathers. The situation matters and other than the dark suits, there is no equivalence. But just as a reminder to our married readers, there is no situation, no matter how celebratory where you flirt with another woman in front of your wife. None. Never. It doesn't matter who you are, at best you're still only the most powerful man in the world.

As I said they're all idiots no matter the party. I pray for our countries future unless a miracle happens.
Maybe this is the miracle:

I like to do thought experiments to test where I really land on some of these choices. The first is, if I could only vote for Stein or Johnson, no other choice, for whom would I vote? Johnson.
2nd, If I had all four to choose from and I had the one and only vote, who would I choose for president? Johnson
3rd, If I could only choose between Johnson and Sanders, who would I choose? I would really have to listen to several debates between them.
It's an interesting predicament. As jk noted, there are two sides diametrically opposed. It's the revolution of 1800 with much less excellent choices. The great majority of people are voting against the other candidate.
Were it possible, I would be surprised if Johnson could not get well more than 50% as the 2nd choice of both parties. Given this scenario, rank choice voting might not work for him but I'd have to think more about this to have a solid opinion.
