...that Rant and Rave disappeared? Or is it hiding somewhere I can't see it?

Maybe FRED gave up since so many eligible Rant and Rave items got posted in "News", even when they weren't. Everything up to and including diminutive bra cup size apparently. No wonder this valuable former macro economics forum is sliding towards the abyss.

You're right. When did this happen? Maybe they're just doing some v-Bulletin maintenance.

The post disparaging women with small breasts disturbed me on a number of levels. It's upsetting to see that kind of mysogeny anywhere, but I sure don't expect it here. I hope it isn't the last straw for our patient FREDs.

Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

      Agreed.

Keep it to intelligent conversations not body references. Immature.

There appears to be a glitch in the forum software, I think. I do not believe the strange things we're seeing are the result of certain features being shut down.

I base this conclusion on the fact that when I click the New Posts link in the black bar, I am seeing threads where there are no unread posts. Typically, threads with no unread posts are not shown on that page. This only started happening today.

That, and we've had some outages in the not-too-distant past due to database errors makes me think this is only temporary. I hope.

i hope not, and i don't think so. otoh this too might be a product of having certain criteria to be met before i'll read a thread at all. reading about the post you cite, i feel somewhat reassured that my thread-filter is doing something right.

Yes - I noticed it started happening the minute a certain/recent post was closed/locked. Once you've read all the new posts though, you can use the "Mark Forums Read" button to clear them.

I also noticed some dramatic changes to the way iTulip appears on my phone.
Those FREDs must be busy upgrading and improving, with some side effects popping up.

The changes you see on your phone are improvements in readability, performance or other criteria I take it?

I'm not sure if you're serious or if this is sarcasm.

                    Re: Did Anyone Else Notice...

                    I was sincere.
I hadn't used my iPhone for iTulip in weeks, and the interface was completely different last Friday.
That tells me changes happened at the website.

The interface changed to a mobile style that I personally don't care for.
I always log in to the recent activity and want to see the list of recent posts.

Wow. As I typed this from my desktop I checked my phone to better describe the new interface I see.
And now it's back as it always was.
A couple days ago i saw a mobile version that took me several clicks to get where I wanted.

So I am happy again with the way iTulip looks on my phone, and I stand by my report of changes afoot, though it's been put back the way it was.

That completes my garbled user report, I will wander off now....

                          Which clown do you prefer?

Trump is a clown, that is not owned by GoldmanSachs! (well not yet)

                          That is a huge PLUS!

itulip subscribers leaned towards voting for President Obama. How is hope and change working for every one?
