  • Why has iTulip not been updated in over two years?

What am I paying $600 for?
At first I thought Janszen was busy with a project, but nothing. Is it because oil is crashing and so is shale?
Can I get a partial refund?
I suppose no one will see this because they will immediately delete it, in which case I will post it elsewhere.
It was great and I learned a lot, especially about irrationality and motivated reasoning. So long!

I agree, it is frustrating. Given a previous post by another iTuliper some time back, somewhat along similar lines, a partial/full refund was given. Of course, I'm in no position to state whether that will/won't happen in your case.

EJ's most pertinent comment on said subject, and I'm paraphrasing here as my memory is a little rusty went along the following lines:

"Those who are still on the iTulip train are on it for one reason: Given that I predicted the two previous crashes, NASDAQ bubble and stock market/housing crash (AFC), there's a very good probability that I'll be able to predict the third."

Probably doesn't help, but that's the state of play. I take the view that it's insurance, because if EJ does predict the third crash or whatever, it will be money well spent, in my opinion. Even if it takes another 5 years before it happens.

The January, 2014 article warned of a stock market correction but not a time to short. In fact many stocks lost 20% to 30% of value from July,2014 into late January of this year and the S&P 500 was down 15% at the low. Oil topped in July, 2014 and lost 75% of value for many oil stocks, energy MLPs, and royalty companies.

But even more significant is that EJ has posted of 30 pages of thoughts since late January, 2014; that is quite a lot for your money.

A key forum post is February 24th with a chart on the bond yield and observation that the 10 yield Treasury yield could go from 3.2% to 1.6%. Anyone could have used that one post to buy TLT, which saw a 28% gain from late February to late January, 2015. More than twice the return of the S&P 500 in 2014.

That pays for many decades of itulip subscriptions. You also get one of the most intelligent group of contributors on the internet.

You just have to read what EJ and others like Finister post. It takes a little work but has given great information.

Go back and reread what EJ posted. There's a wealth of great economic commentary.

Any answer that I could give to your question would be politically incorrect. I don't like the situation either.
