Yup, bought a Fitbit a couple of weeks ago and the damn thing shames you into walking a few miles each day. Seems to be working for me.

How does it differ from an iPhone 6? I've been tracking my mileage and steps everyday since I changed to an iPhone 6. I average about 4.4 miles a day (just walking, I don't jog due to knee injury). I always wonder if the iPhone 6 distance calculator is really accurate.

As a person who doesn't walk to exercise, but only to get from point A to point B, I would feel restless and fat if I don't cover enough distance for a particular day.

I'm not sure. I switched to a large format Samsung Note 4 and plan to get the Note 6 when it's released later this year, (finally a 4k display). The Fitbit weighs almost nothing, is on my wrist all day and is very accurate. My "phone" is big enough that I often don't have it in my pocket. Since I still travel a lot for business, having a device that serves as phone, text, email, internet, music, entertainment is really useful. A laptop computer is much less useful since I'm often in locations where it can't be used because of regulations, (airplanes), or connection limitations, (no cell network).

Ditto on the Note 4. It's a little PC with a phone in it, almost.
