Really vt? The only states worse to retire in than mine are NJ and NY? And South Dakota was number 2...These guys must be wandering in the desert chewing peyote. And Texas got an "F" in health care. I can't speak for the rest of the state but Houston has the best health care away from the coasts. No one would get real health care here unless you're fond of wandering in the desert and ch....

that article was just empty clickbait. unclear what any of the "grades" even meant, let alone what they were based on. and it's clear the author[s] didn't care a whit about climate. further, states are largish places, with significant variability in all the categories supposedly being evaluated. just a waste. i'm not sure why vt bothered to post it.

Virginia is number one and has a Democrat governor and two Democrat Senators.

It also has an excellent financial rating and a low unemployment rate. The public colleges are top notch.

By the way the climate is wonderful, with mountains and beaches on the ocean.

Thanks for the respect, and I receive value from your contributions also.

No problem with finding something in an article to disagree with. Apologies for reacting, but didn't understand reasoning for saying it shouldn't be posted. I try to contribute articles that may be of value and at the least maybe cause discussion and even counterpoints.

I've been to New York and New Jersey too, and there is much to enjoy.
