Oh you bet there are some dogs in the kennel. There are gamblers, brigands and out and out confidence men, too.

My favorite, although I met him for only a brief moment some 30+ years ago and briefly before he passed, was the pornographer with a PhD. Back in the day before VHS and Beta, before color TV and cable, when people read more smut than watched, Dr. John financed his degree in Psychology by writing $.50 cent "adult reading" under various pseudonyms none of which I could ever get any family member to fess up.

Ah....the days of genuine Marxist/communist infiltration being effectively contained by decent conventional immigration policy, not much of an unconventional/illegal immigration policy problem, and the deterrent of capitalist plenty with a capital D for Disneyland.

I reckon it's simpler than most people claim.

i reckon people hate unipolar, single winner/leader competitions after a while.

I reckon if Ferrari and Schumacher managed to spent 25 years on top(instead of just a nice run), they probably would have been bombed too.

Tesla has finally announced the MODEL 3:

        http://www.theverge.com/2016/3/31/11...specs-preorder

They even claimed to open new markets including here in little NZ.

        But still 18+ months away.

        -----

Tesla's recent share price collapse(nearly cut in half) has largely and magically recovered.

Tesla has doubled it's sales in 2 years, but it's operating and net losses have both exploded to >10X in the same timeframe(selling dollars for 80 cents).

Tesla is sitting on 12-18 months of cash at its current burn rate.

        -----

I've been in the Tesla collapse camp as I see it as eerily similar to Amazon's very dangerous 1999-2002 game of chicken spendathon when it was one of the rare companies to put on the brakes and watch everyone else go off the Hugh spending grow to death cliff.

Funnily enough, it looks like I might get to hear/meet Elon Musk in a small group(150 or so) for an hour or so in July up at Stanford.

I think this is about how long Musk spent in his Stanford PhD program...
