  • another sign of 'dis-non-inflation' price movements?

well must say that its been awhile since i actually bought a hardcopy of it -

but does anyone happen to know when the wsj newstand price went from 2bux to 3bux?

good thing theres 'no inflation in sight' - huh?

altho eye note they still offering '12 weeks for 12bux' (but 348/year thereafter...(which is now almost as much as it was 10years ago, when i last had it delivered - to 'just west of the left coast' - when they were charging about 200/yr for delivery 'in america' )

The rise in prices for printed periodicals has grown substantially since the 1990s. I remember a few years ago when I was looking to purchase a copy of Harper's, which contained the second article with material from EJ and was shocked to have paid $7 or $8 for a magazine. I remember paying maybe $2 or so for a magazine in my childhood. $7 or $8 was for truly quality stuff like Playboy.

That said, the on-line versions of the Wall Street Journal and Barron's are still free if you use the Google referral trick. For those having problems, try opening a new Private/Incognito/InPrivate (if using Firefox, Chrome, or Internet Explorer respectively) browser session and then trying the Google trick. I suspect that the Murdoch media properties are using cookies to limit the number of free articles people can read.

By "new" private browser session, I mean that you should close all private browser windows and tabs (or close all browser instances).
