    Whoa. I completely missed the Story that Taibbi abruptly quit First Look last week. I was wondering how he could possibly do his work under Omidyar's thumb. Looks like he couldn't. One year, not a single article out, and now he's back at Rolling Stone. Crazy. I wouldn't mind reading the scoop on what went down there...

    Of course, Omidyar's other online paper has a story written by Greenwald, but I'd rather hear it from the other side. I somehow doubt the party line about never interfering with journalistic independence is true. After all, what sort of billionaire dumps $250M to start up an online magazine network wholecloth and doesn't want to control the agenda to some extent or another?

    Interesting stuff - and thanks TN for putting me onto a story I should have seen a week ago (been too busy lately)...
