This story, and $2M remodel guy are all following the self serving logic of "Trickle Down" economics.
And as a friend of mine once said:
"Sure the money trickles down. But then, so does piss"
Did $34M yacht guy ever stop to think that perhaps the shipyard was failing because it was a badly run business and doomed to fail anyways. As you mentioned flint with the broken window fallacy, the first thing that came to my mind was "miss-allocation of resources"
