I'm convinced bitcoin, or a system like it [Ethereum.org] will emerge as the Internet of money on a global scale. It may take another few years, but merchant by merchant, city by city, I think it will happen. Thus, I'm starting a new thread where I will try to post the major headlines (good and bad) regarding bitcoin once per week - time permitting. (Disclaimer: I am heavily invested in bitcoin. Aprox 25% of total networth at moment)

- DELL.COM: Michael Dell of DELL computers announces Dell now accepts bitcoins!
- SHOPIFY.COM partners with coinbase and enables 100,000 merchants to accept bitcoin
- NEWEGG.COM now accepts bitcoins for payment (Second largest online retailer in USA!)
- TAKEALOT.COM South Africa's ecommerce giant now accepts bitcoin
- NYC: proposes draft "bitlicense" for bitcoin start-ups in NYC (actually bad news, regulation details seem excessive)
- CHEAPAIR.COM announced $1.5 Million in sales via bitcoin
- GOOGLE.COM implements currency conversion to bitcoin
- SANDMAN.COM Hotel chain (44 hotels in Canada), now accepts bitcoins
