Dan Bryant/New York Daily News Mayor Bill de Blasio speaks at the news confrence after the meeting at the 82nd Annual U.S. Conference of Mayors annual meeting on Sunday, June 22.
Mayor de Blasio is taking the “Tale of two cities” on the road.
De Blasio spoke Sunday night at the United States Conference of Mayors in Dallas — and said his signature campaign motto could be applied to many cities.
"When I ran ... I talked about a ‘Tale of Two Cities,’” Hizzoner told his fellow urban chief executives. “Every one of us understands that phrase from our own perspective.
"We have to help this nation address this crisis," he said, bemoaning a lack of action in Washington and the erosion of the middle class. "This is an American crisis, that this kind of growing inequality is fundamentally un-American."
De Blasio will chair a task force dubbed Cities of Opportunity to fight for higher minimum wages and pre-k programs, he said.
after going on 8years of the dems control of the beltway, SOMEBODY (like the mayor of NYC) is finally noticing ????that NONE of whats been done since queen nancy and prince harry took over - with the annointed one leading the charge - HAS ACTUALLY HELPED MAIN STREET?
and... uhhh... like maybe the only thing thats been (or had been, anyway) BOOMING is the profit margins of the perps that got us here?
here's The Report - so the actual numbers - esp the NYC metro area - can be reviewed,
before the spin machine takes over
5 years of 'recovery' and WHERE are WE? ('better' if you happen to be in the west or south, anyway)
