Regarding the FCC. Let’s assume for now with political pressure Net Neutrality will continue, however by their choice which is the FCC’s alone to make under current law, winners are chosen anyway.
There really is another side to the coin, the existence of a free and dominant services like chat, email, search engines, and social networking, it is hard and expensive for any competitor to arise.
Access to the railroad or utility power lines was never free and today requires massive capital, who is to say anyone will ever compete with Facebook, Google etc if they continue to get their lunch for free?
