If global warming were really a problem, we'd see a massive move to nuclear in this country; Asia is building many new plants. We are not, though some are planned.

We need to conserve, retrofit buildings, get 100 mpg on transportation, and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. We need to significantly develop solar.
But energy use will continue to grow and we will need nuclear much sooner than the policy makers have planned.
