As Shakesphere said: a pox on both your houses

Moderates in both parties are battling the radical wings within:

VT, I'm curious as to what basis you characterize yourself as a moderate and independent?

Are you a registered voter? You've said you voted for Romney last go around. Did you vote for any other GOP candidates? Any Democrats or third party candidates? Have you ever donated money or volunteered for a political party or campaign? Which one?

I've not contributed to any political party or candidate, and I have voted for independents, Democrats, and Republicans.

Both parties support FIRE and are corrupt. I support reducing FIRE significantly and moving assets to TECI. I've stated this and other independent viewpoints a number of times. The NMP is needed now more than ever.

        I am out of outrage.

Michael Lewis is talking his book of course, but there is some hope there. I find it curious that the release of his book and the announcements of investigations happened with hours of each other.

This quote from Fresh Air must have raised a few eyebrows.

“I think technology has naturally rendered a lot of what were Wall Street formerly useful functions mute. You don’t need a human being in between buyers and sellers of stock anymore. It could all be done without Wall Street in between…So when you are running one of these firms and realize that a lot of what you do is not socially or economically valuable…it’s just enabling a skim, the last thing you want is transparency.”

Also interesting to read how firms were ignoring customer requests to use the IEX exchange.

You will be glad to know in my youth, I guess I am still "in my youth" I voted for Bush in 2008 but since have not voted at all for any party.

I did give some money to Ron Paul in the last election.
