  • TBTF Banks Have now Monopolized Metal Prices

A new one from Taibbi. Just when I think I have become so jaded I can no longer be surprised by corrupt banks, I see this.

Seems we are all paying 20% or 30% higher prices for aluminum , copper, and nickle than we would without help from the big banks.

The article has a little prize buried inside for anyone that loathes US Attorney General Eric Holder.

I simply can't imagine anyone not loathing him.

We have caught up to our science fiction, where corporations are the new kingdoms.

I use banks to move and document my transactions, for which they are paid nothing. On the other hand, they pay me nothing for the use of my money.

If existing laws were enforced by Mr. Holder, it would be a less expensive world to live in.

I am devesting...removing expense as opposed to creating income, for being small in this world is less harrowing an experience than fighting this kind of evil all the time.

As for Holder, I do not loathe him. I detest his actions in undermining the justice system, and his lack of any protection for those he purports to want to help.

He is a loathesome character. I wonder if he has noticed that.

Allowing one company to control the supply of crucial physical commodities, and also trade in the financial products that might be related to those markets, is an open invitation to commit mass manipulation. It's something akin to letting casino owners who take book on NFL games during the week also coach all the teams on Sundays.
Football and sports gambling are games. The subject at hand is real life. I can't wait for the next massive crash and even larger bailout.

TABO - thanks for the post....I'm sharing with friends. It is amazing what goes on in the background while we're all focused on just getting through our day to day.

The next crash will be much more severe with this sort of "interconnectiveness/ownership" by the banks. Who will have deep enough pockets when it starts to unravel? Oh yeah. We will.
