Did Manning perform badly? I think he broke some completion record in a Super Bowl. He threw interceptions when being hit (poor offensive line play). I think he did everything that he was asked to do, and more. The rest of his team let him down.
Getting back to the economics of it all... The blowout might have cost advertisers some serious cash if it were not for their Super Bowl Credit Default Swaps (SBCDS). No longer were advertisers at the mercy of some sports personality who tried his best. They just have Madison Avenue write a few SBCDS, sell them to the Chinese out of Hong Kong and Macao, and then use their extra profits to buy youtube ads.
Long-time members of iTulip will understand the process that played out last night and why the markets are crashing around the world. It is a repeat of 2008.
Doubt in the 'Hawks has led to several SBCDS defaults.
