Maybe low T is not a problem. Or maybe the new drugs to raise it are bad.

Re: New Concerns About Testosterone And Heart Risks

Without knowing there was an article like the below i was following many of these practices like High Intensity Training (3x week) with TRX training (2x to 3x week), vitamin D, ZN etc. Over 1 year without drugs i noted an increase of 100% and my weight loss was 11 pounds. Avoid drugs if you can.

I'll stick with the drugs. I'll die well before I reach the point where a heart attack occurs.

Thank you, sir. No need to be concerned, though.

Do you take TRT if I may ask?

Smart choice, all the other options (pellets and underarm rub) would be fruitless.

Yeah, it is nice. The only thing that sucks is when you accidentally strike a nerve.

Any doctor who says "DHEA is secreted by the adrenal gland in your brain" is complete garbage.

a study was just released suggesting that supplemental testosterone may raise cardiac risk, as noted at the first link to the nytimes article. i just noticed, though, that the 2nd link someone provided in this thread is to mercola's website. afaik, that is not a very reliable source for information, especially since he's trying to sell things. re: saw palmetto- i subscribe to something called the natural medicines database, which collects/collates all the studies about supplements, and doesn't sell anything but information. its assessment of saw palmetto is that it is "possibly effective" for benign prostatic hypertrophy, and that's it. not enough data to say anything more than that about bph or anything else.

that was me who provided Mercola link. Good point however that link lists many natural approaches like losing weight. Without following his supplement approaches, my T level has increased significantly. ( i will spare the # to avoid any wise cracks:-) ) Too many friends i know are on medications. yes some are needed and unavoidable however my gut tells me we are an overmedicated society. Feel depressed then take drug A. Need to sleep on a 15 hour plane trip then take drug B.

I like the link you provided too. It is a new one for me.

A spontaneous erection is just another problem to solve.

Here is another take on the matter by Life Extension Foundation. Of course they too "sell things".
