Re: I guess this qualifies as news

OK, this product seems worth a try. If it's as good as claimed (which I am not doubting), it should be a great product, congratulations. I think I have my mouth in pretty good shape but I do spend a lot of time working my gum line mechanically with a probe. It would be great if I could get similar efficacy brushing.

We just added a coupon for Itulip members - use "ITULIP10" for 10% off your order. This is good till 10/18/13

We'll try some -- my dentist is always on me about plaque. I'd love to be on the other side of that conversation for once....

Welcome back Rajiv! May I suggest a review of your order/checkout flow? I suspect you will lose fewer prospects in the checkout process if you let Paypal users skip entering their address details. I know it's peeve of mine. The reason I use paypal is to save time by skipping data entry (in addition to limiting as much as possible my credit card info being stored all over the interwebs).

Regarding the checkout process, the option to check out without creating an account doesn't seem to be working. It's asking for a password.

Personally, I don't like creating accounts and having my data stored for something I might order only once, or very seldom. I have to either remember a password, or go through the hassle of having a password sent to me when I order again down the road.

You'll find you have less shopping cart abandonment if you really allow people to purchase without creating an account.

Thanks, Rajiv, and thanks to lektrode for asking for a discount. I've placed my order and am anxious to try this stuff out.

Is there a reason why you chose not to add fluoride to your toothpaste (tooth gel)?

Re: I guess this qualifies as news

Going in, we were agnostic to the addition of fluoride. We had a development version with fluoride, and the version we went to the market with. When we did our micro-hardness tests, we found that the non fluoride version regained hardness faster than the fluoride toothpastes (including our own) and the relative resistance to acid erosion of our non fluoride version was equivalent to that of other fluoride dentifrices. So given the regulatory hurdles (including poison control warnings on the toothpaste tubes) we decided to go with the non fluoride version. We have not done the long term studies to show caries prevention, but the short duration re-mineralization data is very good, as I already stated - and that was very instrumental in making our decision.

Your shopping cart works great now. Easy peasy :-)

I'm glad you didn't add fluoride. I wouldn't have ordered it if you did. Fluoride is nasty stuff.

A cynic would ask, " How long before the Dentist's lobby either buys this out or tries to use the FDA to quash it?"

Actually, our primary marketing is through dentists and dental hygienists. We are getting some very good feedback from them. Some of them are incorporating it into their practice in very innovative ways.

You need a whole new, modern web site. If the product is good, you must present it better.

You probably would be best served by just using Amazon to do your consumer sales. Then turn your web site into a research papers/ marketing site (using only dentists, etc for references) without any shopping cart. Then you can have the best of both worlds. Sell to consumers, get huge product exposure on the web, and still be able to wholesale to the dental clinics.

I bought one because I trust you from your years here on iTulip. I would not have spent 20 dollars based on your site and especially the testimonials which seem a bit too good.
                                FWIW

I am actually quite excited to get a tube. It would be nice to have a toothpaste that is at the forefront of technology.
