I'd also note that the idea of a biological compiler to include alien DNA isn't even new. John Scalzi wrote about it - no doubt there are others - in "Old Man's War" in 2005, and this was a NY Times best seller. It also has been optioned by Paramount to be made into a movie by Wolfgang Petersen.Comment

If you want to "recreate" an alien life form you need to find one first. So far, to the best of my knowledge, none have been found.
