Wonderful comments. Is anyone at the NYT listening, I wonder?

      esp to this one:

My reticence flows from a lack of participation by Syria's bordering neighbors: Turkey, Iraq, Lebanon, and Jordan. And while Saudi Arabia states its support, can they provide troops and material - or will it just be money and moral support?

Why is there no outcry and resolution from the NATO alliance?

Without cooperation from those countries most directly, and most likely to be, affected by events in Syria, why should the people of the United States ands their elected officials be willing to move on Assad's government?
i'm way past the point of disgusted with the concept of The US being 'beatcop to the world' - while we suffer its effects from trillions in debt, the lowest labor force participation in over a generation - while the administration bungles their way thru yet _another_ 'morally necessary' exercise of military intervention - never mind when its by the same bunch of clowns that were SCREAMING FROM THE ROOFTOPS in 2002-03 about this same stuff back then!! (at least back then, there was 9/11 and keeping the oil flowing/safe to be concerned with)
