AAARGH!!! It just failed and lost my reply as I tried to post a reply to you.
Yes. I've noticed slowness not only today, but intermittent slowdowns ever since April 15th when gold crashed. On that day the "New Posts" link became very slow to resolve and hasn't been normal since. It spins and spins and takes forever. Maybe it's coincidental, maybe they did a software update then or something else caused the problem. Sometimes it works and I think it's fixed, but it always goes back to being slow again. It happens on different computers and different browsers...
Another bug since April 15th is trying to post a reply from the Quick Reply window often doesn't work. It times out, so I try again from the Advanced editor only to discover it posted after all. I've been seeing more double-posts and deletions of double-posts from other people since then, as well, so I don't think I'm the only one this is happening to.
Anyone else experiencing these things?
Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
Well, I don't know what just happened, but I logged out when the site came to a standstill, logged back in about five minutes later and now everything is fast! Even the New Posts link at the top of the page is fast again, the way it used to be. Probably going to jinx it by saying something...
Now let's see if the Post Quick Reply button works...
Edit: OMG, it worked!
Thanks, FRED and Co.
