I think his analysis of the Air Traffic Controllers was a bit off.
They are not like assembly line workers or welders. The are charged with public safety. Further, they have a monopoly on the services they perform.
As for whether the republican party is being manipulated by CIA, an interesting idea. I'd say it's amazing that Romney got as many votes as he did. The mere fact that someone is chosen by the party seems enough to convince many voters, regardless of information about the candidates behavior.
Well, if the republicans are manipulated, than probably the democrats are, too. If the CIA interferes in the politics of other countries, why wouldn't they do it in the USA? -
