Doesn't Confessions of an Economic Hitman lay this out as SOP in the "Third World". Loan them into bankruptcy and then harvest the most lucrative public plums. This could be framed as eco-blowback to the "First World" once the Southerners learned to just say no* to the IMF and the WB.

chicago sold its skyway and parking meters- cash in hand for the right to gouge the public. it works because the politicians don't have the courage to raise rates. so they sell, meet their current cash needs, and the private purchasers raise the rates.

I think both Jefferson and Jackson opined on this general modus operandi of the banksters: 1) inflate credit and created indebted asset holders; 2) withdraw/tighten credit causing slow down where debtors can't service debt; foreclose on assets - ---- the banking cartel (led by CBs) can create inflation and deflation at will and thereby (as Hudson says) now take over whole countries.

That about sums it up. So what can people do to stop them? Voting doesn't help. Neither does protesting in the streets. Does it end in conflagration, or with people drugged on antidepressants, sitting in front of their TVs and drinking their beer?

I have become increasingly discouraged by the lack of concern among the wider population - I don't know if it is ignorance or ambivalence is dominant - at the end of the day - we as a culture have moved away from absolute values/standards toward a more utilitarian ethical view and we've been trained to put our trust in experts and those in authority so when these folks tell us that what they are doing is for the best for us .... 1% narcissist/sociopaths can fool/dupe a majority of the decent and well-meaning masses for a long time.
