I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but cosmology is an area of special interest to me that I must admit is far more interesting to me than economics. If it is wrong to post here, I apologize, but some of this news is positively mindblowing!

The universe is older than we thought, which isn't too interesting. What is interesting, however, is that its composition is different than we had envisioned and most of all that it is lopsided. That it is lopsided could have profound implications for what preceded cosmogenesis. As it is said in the article, it could quite possibly point to there being an imprint from something beyond the Big Bang.
