  • More about drones and those who fly them.

At last a green shoot.... that kills people and destroys things, but in this economy beggars can't be choosers. The first link is a story about a recently obtained JD memo on the use of drones. In the story is a link to the memo itself. Get it while you can. How does the govt decide who to kill? Check out these quotes:

"“The condition that an operational leader present an ‘imminent’ threat of violent attack against the United States does not require the United States to have clear evidence that a specific attack on U.S. persons and interests will take place in the immediate future,” the memo states.

Instead, it says, an “informed, high-level” official of the U.S. government may determine that the targeted American has been “recently” involved in “activities” posing a threat of a violent attack and “there is no evidence suggesting that he has renounced or abandoned such activities.” The memo does not define “recently” or “activities.”"

With the NSA scanning everbody's emails you might not want to online chat with your buddies about your lastest war gaming triumphs, or your house might have an "unexplained" gas explosion, even if you don't have gas!

With thousands of domestic drones in the next few years you can get in on the ground floor. Just get a student loan enabled BS degree in remote killing, er, remote piloting, that is and you're on your way. One recently graduated student just started a new job in Afganistan at $140,000 a year. Sure beats serving chili dogs at Sheetz. Honey, I just blew up the kids takes on new meaning.

What a brave new world we live in. The opportunities are endless, especially in ending other people.
