Some of you might know, I collect old books; no not especially valuable ones, just that which catches my eye. Recently, I came across a copy of: The Pocket R. L. S. Being Favourite Passages From The Works Of Stevenson, seventh edition, Chato & Windus 1905.
The very first passage reads:
"When you have read, you carry away with you a memory of the man himself; it is as though you had touched a loyal hand, looked into brave eyes, and made a noble friend; there is another bond on you thenceforward, binding you to life and to the love of virtue."
Reminded me of many happy hours debating with fellow iTulipers.
May I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
