      this was really kool! If it really works on a large scale basis, tremendous changes will most likely take place in our day to day life. All of a sudden, oil for transportation may not be so important.

        It is inspiring. People have been working on supercapacitors for at least 10 years, and some materials besides graphene are being considered. Most of these things never get out of the research lab. This would be quite revolutionary if it can work economically on a large scale.

        Battery: high energy density, slow to charge and discharge, about 40% of energy lost in the charge/discharge cycle, finite number of cycles. (capacity diminishes a bit with each charge/discharge cycle)

        Capacitor: much lower energy density, fast charge and discharge, very little energy lost in the cycle, capable of many cycles.
