    I find that many if not most Apps are a solution in search of a problem. Once the neato factor wears off you realize they really are just not all that useful. I do use a few for work( electrical calculations) that work really well and are exactly what an app should be. But I have to admit I probably only use 20% of my apps on a regular basis. But the ones I use are really very useful. Not just games or advertising marketed as social media.

        But without the consequences. App saturation seems more typical of new gizmo overplay, that inevitably self-regulates, meaning in our world (as noted above), the most useful are gobbled up by the monopolies while the rest die like flies.
