        I did days of research before choosing to vaccinate my recently born daughter with all the standard recommended vaccines. The only conclusion I could come to is that vaccines are far from a sure thing and there is a lot of contradicting "evidence" of the efficacy and impact on controling diseases historically. Further, every country has their experts providing different advice and recommendations. Some countries recommend as few as 11 vaccines, others over 40 (USA). Not having a background in biology or medicine, I opted to give her all the recommended vaccines, but delayed the start date by 1 month and staggered them one at a time, such that if there was any (very low probability) severe reactions, we'd know which one caused it; also to lower her probability of her feeling slightly ill afterwards.

        Of one thing I am sure, whilst technology and the science of vaccination has likely improved over time, the history of vaccination is not a pretty one by many accounts. As such, I would never take or allow my daughter to take any vaccine that is brand new and has survived the test of time - which includes just about any yearly flu vaccine. Rhetoric question: Why not instead let the human body heal itself naturally for such a low impacting infection?

        Slightly offtopic / taboo subject: From an energetic "alchemy/occult" point of view, the #1 best thing men can do to improve their immunity against colds, flus and just about any other type of bacterial and virii infection and disease overall is to .... wait for it... (are you sitting down?) minimize and transmute ejaculation - One of the key esoteric secrets of the Toaists. For another Eastern perspective, consider the Hindu practice of Brahmacharya (book written by Sivananda, author of over 200 books on Yoga - excuse the 'East Indianized' English - but the man knows what he is talking about). From an esoteric Western perspective the true practice of alchemy is not an exoteric one attempting to transmute physical lead into physical gold (albeit that is supposedly possible, but not by mere scientific chemistry alone); but rather, to engage in the esoteric practice to transmute the base human being into an enlightened one, which in part involves controlling (I prefer "manage") sexual energy. With this, it is important to note that if you consider this practice, mere abstinance in the long term (short term it's ok - a few months) is not sufficient and may in fact be quite dangerous - as evidence by so many of our contemporary Catholic priests whom are mandated to remain abstinant and then later perform horrendous abusive sexual acts. Internal "transmutation" of that energy is eventually *required*.

        I know, a lot easier said than done, but watch what happens to your physical health, energy levels, mental alertness and overall immunity when you minimize ejaculation and learn transmute and later raise that energy upwards (Kundalini - The Secret of Yoga , by Gopi Krisna, author of 15 books on the subject). Don't take my word for it, try it for a few weeks and if you can for a few months. No more need for coffee, energy drinks, anti-depressants etc. Alternatively, try the opposite experiment. Increase your frequency of ejaculation by 2, 3 or 4 times over the period of a month and watch what happens to your overall health, mental alertness, and energy levels (warning: Do not attempt this if you are already sick or have previously suffered from depression).
