  • So much for Glow-ball Warming (again...)

I guess the glow-ball elites will have to find a new way to try and fleece the world for more taxes, sincethis dog don't hunt no more.

Global warming stopped 16 years ago, reveals Met Office report quietly released... and here is the chart to prove it

    • The figures reveal that from the beginning of 1997 until August 2012 there was no discernible rise in aggregate global temperatures
    • This means that the ‘pause’ in global warming has now lasted for about the same time as the previous period when temperatures rose, 1980 to 1996

Some climate scientists, such as Professor Phil Jones, director of the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia, last week dismissed the significance of the plateau, saying that 15 or 16 years is too short a period from which to draw conclusions.
Others disagreed. Professor Judith Curry, who is the head of the climate science department at America’s prestigious Georgia Tech university, told The Mail on Sunday that it was clear that the computer models used to predict future warming were ‘deeply flawed’.

Even Prof Jones admitted that he and his colleagues did not understand the impact of ‘natural variability’ – factors such as long-term ocean temperature cycles and changes in the output of the sun. However, he said he was still convinced that the current decade would end up significantly warmer than the previous two.

Comment: So let me get this straight, the professed expert admits he don't know shit from shinola, but he is just certain things are gonna work out the way he wants, er, expects them to work out. Riiiiiiight....

Why is the entire Arctic Ocean melting?

Of course the computer models are flawed. There are many models.
NASA cannot even reliably calculate the positions of the planets in this solar system more than a few thousand years out... and that is simple compared to modeling climate.
This is why weather models don't work more than a few days in advance, generally.

I guess that if one is not from the UK, it's difficult to know what a joke the Daily Wail is.

To get an idea, look at how they have captioned the steam coming out of the cooling towers pictured as "This image shows smoke billowing out of a power station"

I read the Daily Mail article provided in the link, then when to the source of the data, The Met Office.
I searched for a bit looking for the info to confirm the Daily Mail's article, but couldn't find it?

Has any one been able to find info to back up this data?
