Other than the methane hydrates, which no one can quite figure out how to mine yet, we are really getting to the bottom of the barrel... though there may be stuff offshore.

I thought Japan was producing essentially no oil, and in fact 10 years ago it was producing about 10,000 barrels per day, but that is now up to 120,000 barrels per day. Consumption is 4,000,000 barrels per day.
