I have two radiation detectors, one of Russian manufacture and one Japanese. They consistently give similar readings.
I took readings at Tokyo Station, in the Shinkansen, passing through Fukushima, and finally took readings in front of Sendai Station. Readings were consistently 0.05 to 0.06 MICROsievert, about 1/3 the normal readings in Denver.
I will go to Fukushima Station soon and will take readings.
US Embassy people also told me they were checking food and had found nothing significant.
