    anyone finding the site a little cranky? Postings crashing, slow, etc.

    Can't load it for days at a time. Has happened several times in the last 6 to 8 weeks.

          It's not your browser. They are using the wrong PHP version on the server.

            the site periodically gets flaky, php problems, but not very often. it will non-functional for 1-3 hours, but rarely. i usually assume someone is doing site maintenance of some kind.

              Yeah it's not your browser. I see the same thing daily from about 3 different Windows PCs for the past 3 weeks or so (IE or Chrome). I haven't really had problems loading the website except maybe once in the past month. Usually it seems quite stable in terms of availability, but possibly we're in different time zones.

                I get the errors at the top with both chrome and safari but otherwise pretty stable for me.

                  I never have a problem. I use windows 7 and ie9. I also have a droid phone that I do not have a problem with. However, I almost never go to the front page. I just go to forums and check for new posts or go to EJ and check his recent posts.
