Yep, the Telegraph's vitriole is becoming even more pitched than usual; I hardly thought it was possible. The stink of desperation must be filling the City's air.

Perhaps it is time for your calls to be heeded at last, Mega.

You only have to read the comments at the botom of the story........ALL attacking it, ALL saying what LIES he saying......The game is up. Even the term Hypocation is now known, in Wall st you allowed 1.5 X value of asset, i London there is NO LIMT!

I don't want to sound like Max on this show, but as the North Sea is running dry of Oil/Gas production....the city is running dry. I note that China has bought the LMBA (Gold Market).........can't be long now.

London and Great Britain have been around a lot longer than North Sea oil, and the city by the Thames is unlikely to "run dry".

Mega, why don't you forget about the bankers, the collapse of the Pound, your friends with leased BMWs, and G4S for awhile...and take some inspiration from the exploits of Wiggins, Froome, Cavendish, and Millar this weekend? Who knows, it might even make you feel better :-)

A British win in the Tour de France will make (the final stage of the race is still underway as I post this) for a nice prologue for the Olympics...which I think London is going to pull off in fabulous style despite the whinging and whining of some news reporters (if security in London is really an issue then what are those idiot journalists doing risking their lives by being there?)...

You will never see an article like this in a U.S. mainstream publication. It's really amazing how much more controlled US mass-media is compared to the UK.

US regulators pretending to act on behalf of all citizens by investigating fraud, but what they're really doing is attempting to damage The City's reputation on behalf of Wall Street.
