“They told us they were worth 500 pesos ($37.50), but when we got to the check-out, they were only worth 100 rotten pesos ($7.50),” Salazar said.

    Re: mexican vote scandal

there are two sides on this: The briber and the bribed. There were instructions on how to mock vote sales, if people accepted the bribes the results are upon the ones that accepted. I exposed my voting reasoning thoroughly on FB. I'm more liberal than the government party but more orthodox in public finances and macroeconomy. Since I was never going to vote for PRI, neither was I going to stand behind the franchise family parties and I know personally people that personally know AMLO, and his proposals didn't convince me, I opted for JVM and the municipal PAN candidate, and voted no for plurinominal legislators.

Law and due process are what has to be done at this moment. All the irregularities must be clarified, sentences will have to be given about the actions of individual parties by the TRIFE. The last word hasn't been said still.

At the end the congress will be divided as has been the way since 1997. By the way of it, and with the exigence of us citizens (no, I'm not going to refrain from asking reforms, and neither many of us) we have to make the reforms this country needs to overcome these scandals. The next president will have to be over his moral stature or the people will surpass him as we surpassed Miguel de la Madrid after the 1985 earthquake. This is the awakening of mexican people. Shame on us if we let apathy and inaction to overcome ourselves.
