  • oh fred? we need charts

    fred/Mr J

    a suggestion/observation...

since it would appear that certain 'other sites' (turd's) no longer appear to by displaying kitco's PM charts on the front page (dunno why, but would appear to have something to do with a new paywall setup - methinks will cost em plenty eyeballs) - suggest y'all think about it (AU, AG, USD and WTI would be nice too and all on one page, maybe all on one graph) - and if not directly on the top-level index page, then maybe one level down - so we can just 1-clik to it (and keep our eyeballs where we'd rather be...)

eye for one liked being able to have 1 screen where can get latest prices/trends - bet it would be a nice draw for those who (like me) are awake when things krank up over in london (and/or ny, asia - when the ole insomnia bug wont let one go)

Arguably the daily price action of these things is irrelevant to the aim and thrust of the site, and is a distraction.

and it is easy enough to look at it yourself. I keep 3 day gold and 3 day silver from kitco up all the time. I only use it to see any sudden change which may mean some news I had not noticed. Also I never go to the front page of itulip. I simply use new posts on the forum

I'll delete this if iTulip links the charts, but besides Kitco itself I have some pages that cover various quotes:

        Metals: http://www.nowandfutures.com/metals.html

Quick Ref, a key price backup if IB link goes down: http://www.nowandfutures.com/pm.html

Overview - metals, oil, stocks, etc. : http://www.nowandfutures.com/current.html
(has some broken links to commodities & futures charts)

              ...

Shall I just take the short one (or some other) and post the entire page in the bart section? They'd be live links and always accessible...

And I think it's well past time for you and your bird or turd or all of the above, and get back in your cage. ;-)

maybe fred can make a link-to it someplace easy to get to - i'm partial to diving-in to the 'tulip pool via:

Just click the link and it'll take you there. I don't think the 'bart section' requires a login.
I can always snarl with any service if you like, including when I run back into *my* cage? ;-)

I can't speak for Fred, but you could always put the link in your browser favorites? Traders are in the minority here, so I doubt a sticky link would be forthcoming.
