  • Euro Pacific no go :((

I said i keep you guys informed to how my appication to Euro-pac went...........it didn't. I lined up the money for a wire transfar and the paper work came.......they wanted a copy of my passport......bit tricky in that i don't have a vaid one.

I know that your say well get one, but getting a UK passport is a VERY long winded process that takes 6-8 weeks. I asked IF i could send a number of other items to give my ID, but NO.

I still think they a great company and well worth investing in but if your out side the US be warned they need a passport.
    Cheers

    Mega,

Is it because of identification purposes or homeland security purposes?

I had my first few applications to foreign exchange facilitators (i.e. not forex trading, but companies which specialize in offering lower rates for forex commercial transactions) rejected because homeland security has really cracked down on these types of accounts.

Yep, i sense that they are using "Home land" thing as an excuse for something else. I need a passport so i see what it takes to get one on Monday.

Take a look at their exhorbinant commissions before you set up an account at EuroPac. Trade $10,000 in stock and pay 3.5% on the buy and 3.5% on the sell. That is as bad as the Swiss banks! There is no way to make money with those kinds of fees.
