the only news in the ltro yesterday was its slightly larger than expected size. it was the 2nd of 2 promised installments. buy the rumor, sell the news. we're awaiting a rumor of a 3rd ltro, but i suspect it won't come until things heat up again in the european bond markets. and ben, testifying on the hill, isn't pledging any printing in our immediate future. i'm surprised equities aren't down more. they've got to tank to elicit more fed action.

gold fell about 5.3%
silver fell about 6.7%
Every time this happens (since I bought a little metal in August 2011) it seems silver always falls more than gold. And I think it climbs slower when gold climbs... that suggests to me that silver is still reverting to some lower trend.Comment
