If we could get enough good politicians in congress that wouldn't be necessary. A long shot at best but still it would work. Even without them it might not be necessary, one wasn't required to get the labor reforms in the 1920-30's, although it took a lot of hard work and sacrifice on the protestors' part.

The thing is they got that relatively minor improvement and then pretty much stayed stuck at that standard of living while others got richer. Not to the disparity that I had thought, but pretty damn bad all the same.

I get frustrated with anyone who supports neoliberal or anti labor policies. Small business owners individually certainly don't have the same effect the big boys do of course, but that doesn't make it anymore right when they do the same things.

Yea but the quality, detail, and source are more reliable.

Good point but a lot can happen in a short time and given the way information is distorted in this and other countries its hard to find out exactly what is happening.

There isn't any personal outrage, just lots of frustration in general with his views. Its not like I know the guy personally.

I've got a book for you:

The "S" Word, A Short History of an American Tradition...Socialism

I'm half way through. Just finished the chapter describing Lincoln's correspondence with Carl Marx after the failed revolutions that swept Europe in 1848.
