He tries to break Euro apart, fails (because of China) then gets told that Germany IS going to run the show. He reacts with "No way" & "We never agree"....then is told that Blighy is NOT part of the Euro thus its bugger all to do with him!

Suddenly the British slime see the writting on the wall & suss that "the City" is about to get cut out of the deal & left to whilter on the vine....

I bet that "Suddenly" Britan will take a key role is writing harsh new banking rules, that they just finished saying they would never agree to!

Fascinating!

The article credits Nick Clegg with the internal work, and Germany's Schäuble with external pressure, but I'm still missing the connection within British politics that aligns their interests. Is Clegg trying to take control of the coalition from Cameron? It hardly seems a friendly move, but I'm wondering whether to attribute this shift to intra-coalition politics, or civil service wrangling.

Anyone familiar with the British political scene care to comment?

Unlike the British, looks like the Greeks are telling Germany to go stuff it:

ATHENS:

Greece will not cede control over its budget to the European Union as has been proposed by Germany as a condition for a second bailout, Greek government sources told AFP on Saturday.

"There is effectively a 'non-paper' that was presented to the Eurogroup," one of the sources said, referring to reports that Germany had submitted a proposal to have the eurozone assume control over the Greek budget before it receives a new bailout.

"Greece will not discuss such a possibility," said the source. "It is out of the question that we would accept it, these are matters of national sovereignty."
