Itulip convention?

Been thinking about this, how about an "Itulip Convention" ?

We need to find somewhere nice, not going to get mugged or shot etc.....

i wanted a "party" too. No bites when I suggested it. I am willing to travel anywhere in the U.S.
Although I would love to fly across the big pond, time and money would prevent me from doing that.

I remember there was quite a bit of talk about this several years ago. For all I know the planning is still ongoing.

Oh EJ, i think he has a tough time ahead......none of us knows just how far "They" are willing to go. I mean will they carry on with the Iran thing?...........for me i simple can't fathom WHY the UK £ is so high, its SHIT!

Got me thinking about all the places I have gone to conferences; for relatively small numbers, Albuquerque comes to mind, also Lisbon was good. If a majority wanted to, then it would have to be DC, great hotels and restaurants and the museums and art galeries. Numbers dictate the location.

I made the suggestion almost 3 years ago...I reckon it's still a good one...but it just never seemed to gain sufficient traction.

With the recent private equity spin the forum has taken(which I unfortunately missed out on with work/travel commitments), I wonder if an iTulip meeting could take on a dual purpose......

*PE dog & pony show

Or plug an iTulip Gathering into an existing PE/investment/EJ speaking engagement meeting platform.

Or if EJ/iTulip community think that an expensive energy future will see less focus on old school conventions and more focus on new technology trying to replicate the experience....maybe continued experimentation with new teleconferencing technology might be an option?

Just chucking it out there....I'm still keen.....but admittedly less enthusiastic about it than before.

Hopefully the promised new iTulip platform offers something......frankly, I'd be happy with just "underpromise, overdeliver" with future content/communication.
