  • latest 'news' from Iraq?

    ya know....

its getting wierder and wierder these daze, in the lamestream media - what with how supposed "tax cuts" that are coming straight out of the source of funding for social security and medicare, never mind the fact that on top of that, the new healthcare program is chopping medicare reimbursements
    to hospitals/docs by 27% http://www.kaiserhealthnews.org/daily-report.aspx
(wonder how thats going to work out) - and nobody in the chattering class has anything to say about it?

and if THATS not bad enough, how about whats being reported - or NOT being reported, as the case seems to be - on whats happnin in Iraq? is it just ME being cynical (nah! me cynical? nah...)
or does anyone else find it somewhat twisted that The Real News about whats going on over there is being brought to us by none other than the doonster:

    http://www.doonesbury.com/strip/archive/2011/12/23

so much for the war having "ended" or the "troops leaving/coming home"

i guess 'one mans soldier is (just) another mans contractor/mercenary' ?

and then there was this comedic commentary (which might be funny if it wasnt so true, with both sides of the aisle in BOTH houses beginning to sound like gradeschoolers fighting during 'recess' )

not to mention this little ditty, (found this AM over at the turd's place, where he's got some
interesting obs on the happnins in the metals markets:

just to keep us focused on why we're here - not that the rapid-fire action over on the conan/ronpaul thread isnt entertaining enuf, mind you ;)

HAPPY... or MERRY.... pick something.... TO EVERYBODY!!!

The temporary tax cut extention also includes extending the delay of the cuts to medicare doctors.

Putting SS into the red is an important part of laying the argumentative foundation for privatization.

Social Security? No, I thinks it's better if I wait.
      Soon . . . very soon
      I think I'll be applying . . .
      for myself
