he'd also get a lesson on the 7 words ya cant use on TV...

but all in all, quite an educational, as well as non-partisan look at the situation we face in The US today (and he was talking about this _years_ ago, from the looks of him in that one)

RIP george, we (some of us) loved ya.

I wasn't commenting on the Carlin clip, which I have seen umpteen times before (and not been very impressed, although I like Carlin), but Don's little republican debate cartoon.

If you had looked at the "thread map" before you commented on my post, you would have realized that.

Master Shake, I think the majority (I could be wrong) of itulipers use the linear mode so it is natural that if there is no quote to assume you are talking about the previous post. I assumed that myself when I saw your post.

I certainly switched to linear and never went back once I first used it. Regardless, is this what the forum has come to? A debate over thread maps? An article about bankers holding a gun to the world's economy and we have to watch a George Carlin routine to be informed enough to comment? I for one tend to skip almost every youtube clip that is a comedy routine or music video. I love both comedy and music but that isn't why I come to itulip and doubly so for threads that start with a serious topic. Maybe I'm in the minority of having to still work for a living.

It's to the point where you'd be hard pressed to find a single thread that isn't completely off topic by page 2.

          Sorry for the rant.

I agree except for Finster's Comments. He doesn't let them stray far and if they do if is because he or Bart initiate the new direction.

I don't understand this reasoning. In a chain of re-hypothecations who is senior after a bankruptcy? The initial purchaser or the last/latest in the chain of the hypothecation? The answer to that make all the difference for this plan B theory.
